There
are no formal qualifications required to study with Horses
& Courses. We aim to make our courses accessible to as many
people as possible.
With
open learning YOU are in control of your studies. This means
that should your circumstances change your studies can change
with you. You can even put your course on hold to resume at
a later date if required.
The
only requirements are that:
- You
have thought about the time and dedication required when
working from home.
- You
have an interest in the subject.
- You
are currently or have been involved with horses.
- You
are over 16 years old. (If under 16 years of age you may
still be able to study but will require consent from your
school, so please contact us to discuss requirements).
- You
are English speaking.
One
of the most difficult parts of becoming a student is deciding
from the wide range of options available to you just what
you want to study!
HOW
TO SELECT YOUR COURSE.
- Before
deciding on your chosen course you need to consider the
amount of time you can put into your studies, why you are
studying and what form of qualification you would like to
receive.
- Read
through the course outlines in this prospectusand note down
all those courses / modules that interest you.
- Think
carefully about the maximum amount of time you can give
to your studies each week as each course / module studied
will require a minimum of 2 hours a week
- Think
about how much money you want to spend as this may affect
your decision on how many courses / modules you study in
a year
- Remember,
for the EQUINE OWNERS series
you can begin at any time you like. Once we have received
your payment you will receive a welcome letter and it will
take 14 days to process your enrolment and for you to receive
your pack. (Overseas students please look here)
- For
the BTEC courses we have
an enrolment each month and need to have received your module
selection sheet and enrolment at least three weeks before
the chosen enrolment date.
- What
ever course you enrol on, you can always add extra modules
to you study during the year if you find you can afford
it or that you have more time available.
- Having
considered the above points, return to the list of modules
and add them to the Enrolment
Form.
